Program Details

The associate’s Human Services degree online from NCMC prepares students for entry-level positions in a variety of professions aimed at helping people and communities. The program prepares students for employment opportunities after graduation in the state of Missouri. The Community Support Specialist position is traditionally held by bachelor’s level graduates, however the Missouri Department of Mental Health has approved graduates of this two-year degree program for immediate employment in the field.

Students will learn skills needed to collaborate with mental health professionals and interact with clients with behavioral and mental health issues. The curriculum of this online human services degree also includes a hands-on practicum experience in a community setting. Graduates will be prepared for entry level positions in state, county, and local human services agencies.
