Program Details

The online Graduate Certificate in Mathematics Teaching & Learning program focuses on developing knowledge and instructional approaches in teaching mathematics.  The program serves practicing teachers in middle school through college settings, as well as those preparing for teaching careers that want to expand their expertise to this field.  Students learn how to apply research-based understandings of students’ thinking, pedagogical approaches, and broader educational issues such as discourse and equity to inform practices of teaching content such as geometry, algebra, and statistics.  Courses include:

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in mathematics education, mathematics, or statistics or a related field
  • Undergraduate GPA of 3.0 or higher
