Program Details

The online Associate in Science in Sport Management degree program prepares students for careers in the business of sport.  Sport Managers are responsible for the successful operation and growth of the multi-billion dollar sport and recreation industry and this program provides the specialized training needed to meet the industry’s diverse needs.  Students can use this program to develop their management skills and/or to prepare to transfer to a baccalaureate program in sport management.  Regardless of their goals, students will study the business aspect of sport, the role of sport in society, and career opportunities in this field.  You will get an overview of the industry while focusing on general business topics including accounting, marketing, and human resource management; you will also gain the skills needed in the sport business. 

Graduates will be able to:

  • Demonstrate an understanding of management and organizational skills in sport
  • Describe the role of governance in sport
  • Explain the role of governance in sport management
  • Outline the role of governance in business law
