The New York University - School of Continuing and Professional Studies offers an online Graduate Certificate in Benefits and Compensation. The advanced studies aims to prepare human resource managers to impact an organization's effectiveness by developing and retaining talent, formulating performance management systems and designing competitive compensation plans.
The 18 credit hour program is comprised of six courses: two required courses, and four elective courses from the M.S. in Human Resources Management and Development program. The program is designed to parallel the models endorsed by WorldatWork, which is the certifying body for the Certified Compensation Professional, the Certified Benefits Professional, the Global Remuneration Professional, the Work-Life Certified Professional, the Certified Sales Compensation Professional, and the Certified Executive Compensation Professional.
Graduates of the certificate may use this knowledge when pursuing higher positions within a current career or as the foundation for the M.S. in Human Resources Management and Development. Upon successful completion of the certificate program, graduates should be able to analyze organizational issues with critical thinking skills, create and apply solutions with the most beneficial and effective human capital available.
