Program Details
The Advanced Certificate in Health and Human Rights is offered in collaboration with HealthRight International, an organization that seeks to eliminate the gap in health outcomes between marginalized populations and the general population. With a foundation in HealthRight’s field work, this program offers vital concepts and practical skills useful in promoting and protecting human rights in public health.
Courses cover a range of health and human rights issues. Students also learn about legal and policy issues in human rights. Graduates will be prepared to educate health professionals and researchers about the implications of human rights on their work, as well as to collaborate with community partners and organizations to improve population health.
