Master of Science in Childhood Education (Professional Certification)

Program Details

NYIT's Master of Science in Childhood Education with the option of completing an Professional Certification is for current teachers who are looking to earn more certifications to teach in grades 1-6. The program teaches students to integrate technology in their instruction and utilize varying skills to effectively teach children.


  • B.S. degree or its equivalent with a major or its equivalent in one of the following areas: biology, chemistry, economics, English, history, life science, math, physics, or psychology
  • Minimum cumulative undergraduate GPA of 3.0
  • Personal statement
  • Two letters of recommendation
  • Official copies of all undergraduate and graduate transcripts
  • A competitive score on the GRE or MAT
  • An interview with the program chair
