Program Details

The online Paralegal Assistant Career Studies Certificate program is a specialized option that represents the minimum amount of college course work required for this field of study and is designed to prepare students to perform as legal assistants or paralegals under an attorney’s supervision.  Students will be prepared to assist the attorneys’ supervising them in private law firms, administrative agencies, mortgage companies, private corporations, and more.  You will take courses including:

  • Introduction to Law and the Legal Assistant
  • Family Law 
  • Law Office Administration and Management 
  • Trial Preparation and Discovery Practice
  • Legal Research and Writing

Requirements

  • High school diploma, GED, or 18 years old and able to benefit from a program as demonstrated by assessment in reading, writing, and mathematics
  • College transcripts (if applicable)
