Program Details

New Mexico State University-Grants offers an associate degree in Social Services. This online Social Work degree program is designed to prepare students for entry-level positions or transfer into a four-year degree program

Courses can transfer into the bachelor’s degree in Social Work or Sociology programs at NMSU Las Cruces. Concentrations are available for the NMSU School of Social Work option or a Paraprofessional option. Students will receive a well-rounded education including general education requirements as well as degree courses and electives. 

Classes available to students include:

  • A study of substance abuse through service learning
  • Psychology of adjustment
  • Introduction to social welfare
  • Introductory sociology
