The Certificate in Management of Technology from New Jersey Institute of Technology is designed to prepare graduates with the skills and knowledge needed to manage change in organizations from the influence of new technologies. Program curriculum focuses on the fundamentals of business and management and the development and implementation of new technologies.
All courses are conveniently offered online, making it easy for current business professionals to obtain their certificate around work and daily routines. Courses are also offered on the New Jersey Institute of Technology's campus in Newark, New Jersey.
Students are able to choose four of the following seven courses offered to meet the 12 credit hours required for a certificate: Project Management, Managing Technological and Organization Change, Organizational Behavior, Management of Technology, Knowledge Management, Information Systems Principles, and Decision Support Systems for Managers.
Courses offered discuss and improve upon knowledge of managing budgets, MIS plans, computer operations, mainframes, managing digital technologies, e-commerce technologies, as well as many other terms and concepts needed to be successful managers of technology and its influence in local and global organizations.
Students who wish to pursue their graduate degree after completing the Certificate in Management of Technology are well prepared and able to seamlessly transition into certain graduate degree programs at NJIT. All credits completed for the certificate program can be applied to meet degree requirements for the MS in Management as well as MS in Information Systems, MS Emergency Management and Business Continuity, and MS in Business and Information Systems.

Students must have a Bachelor’s degree with a overall cumulative Grade Point Average of 2.8 or higher on a 4.0 scale.
