New Hope Christian College was founded in 1925 under the name of Eugene Bible College as part of the Open Bible Churches denomination. In 2009, the school joined the Pacific Rim Christian College Consortium, a group with three other colleges located in Honolulu, Myanmar and Japan. In 2010 Eugene Bible College changed its name to New Hope Christian College. The University's mission is "to disciple emerging Christian leaders by developing their theology, ministry skills, and character in order to win souls, plant fruitful churches, and lead as exemplary ambassadors for Christ in the ministry and marketplace."
As a private institution of higher education that is affiliated with the Open Bible Standard Churches, New Hope Christian College awards associate's, bachelor's, and master's degrees in ministry and liberal arts subjects. For students who have a hectic schedule and may not be able to fit in traditional in-class learning, New Hope Christian College offers a distance learning program. Degrees in ministry leadership are available in fully online formats.
