The first step in treating those with addiction issues is understanding the causes of addiction. This online bachelor’s in Psychology with a concentration in Addiction and Substance Abuse teaches students the biological, physical, and sociological reasons behind use, misuse, and addiction

Students will learn about trends in the field of treatment, new drugs being abused, and how to educate people about the danger of these substances in this online Substance Abuse Counseling degree. Classes also cover the legal and social process of determining addiction levels. Hands-on training includes using modern testing tools to determine if someone is addicted to a substance.
