Dual Enrollment Associate of Arts in General Studies
New Charter University is an entirely online university, providing busy professionals the opportunity to earn a valuable undergraduate and graduate degrees. Students of the university can successfully complete coursework through a virtual classroom, and apply the learned academics to current or future career aspirations.
New Charter University and Patten University have developed a program to enhance a student’s understanding of essential concepts necessary for a successful entry into the competitive job market. Students of the 60-credit-hour Dual Enrollment Associate of Arts in General Studies program will study composition, mathematics, statistics and social sciences. The associate curriculum will start with courses at New Charter University and finish with upper level courses at Patten University.
The interdisciplinary coursework will enable students to develop critical thinking skills necessary, in addition to building a solid breadth and depth of professionalism, knowledge, consideration and respect for diverse viewpoints. The associate degree is granted by Patten University, which is regionally accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC). Graduates of the program can use the degree as the necessary education for immediate entry into a career or as the foundation for future educational aspirations in the pursuit of a bachelor’s degree and beyond.

12 College-Level Credits from courses at New Charter University, from transfer credits accepted by New Charter University, or from a combination of both.
