Neosho County Community College, a two-year, public institution, was founded in 1936 as Chanute Junior College. In 1961 the school was renamed to what it is known as today, Neosho County Community College. Neosho County Community College operates with the mission to enrich its community’s and students’ lives and grow and expand through serving students with innovative, creative programs based on leadership and excellence in order to become the premier community college in Kansas.
Students can complete a variety of programs leading to associate's degrees or certificates. Neosho County Community College offers online classes to help accommodate the busy schedules of its students, and many of the transfer degrees and certificates can be earned completely online.
