Program Details

The online MBA with a concentration in Accounting Professional Skills prepares students for careers or to advance their careers in accounting within the business field.  In addition to knowledge and skills taught in MBA coursework, you will gain the skills, competencies, knowledge, and judgment needed to succeed as an accounting professional.  The courses focus on developing global perspectives and integrating real-world applications.  Students also learn critical thinking, communication skills, collaboration, research, and technology.  Faculty use innovative methods and a student-focused approach to help students gain a mastery of common accounting knowledge and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles. 

Graduates are prepared for positions including:

  • Public Accounting
  • Corporate Accounting
  • Internal Auditing
  • Nonprofit Organization Accounting
  • Accounting in Government Agencies


  • A bachelor’s degree or higher from a regionally accredited college or university 
  • An overall GPA of 2.5 or better, or where a GPA of 2.75 or higher in the last 90 quarter units
  • Students with a GPA of 2.0 to 2.49 may be admitted to the University if they have a satisfactory score on one of the following tests: GMAT, GRE, Miller Analogies Test, or an approved, standardized program-specific exam
