The Bachelor of Arts majoring in Early Childhood Development with a California Preliminary Multiple Subject Teaching Credential provides the broad education you’ll need to teach the early elementary grades. The program follows a thought-provoking curriculum covering a variety of topics to prepare you to teach multiple subjects in elementary school. You’ll be schooled in different teaching strategies to accomplish your teaching and learning goals. The program will explore ways to create a healthy, supportive, and challenging classroom setting for your students, along with techniques to communicate with children as well as their parents. You’ll establish a curriculum to promote development and effective learning for young children, identifying essential concepts, tools of inquiry, content, and other resources for early childhood education.
