Program Details

The online Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice with a major in Criminal Justice Administration program prepares students for work in fields addressing the effects of criminality on individuals, communities, and society, particularly careers in law enforcement, courts, or corrections systems.  The curriculum is a combination of psychology, sociology, public policy, and organizational management that provides a broad set of professional knowledge and skills.  Students learn to understand and apply theories about why people commit crimes, the effects of criminal behavior on society, and how crime is addressed; about methods in criminal investigation and analysis, and how the criminal law and justice system works.  You will learn to play a role in the functioning of the corrections system, including approaches to offender rehabilitation, and understand how the main criminal justice agencies operate, are funded, and deliver their services.
