Program Overview

National Graduate School of Quality Management offers a DBA in Quality Systems Management Degree which is well suited for students who wish to pursue their doctorate through a well structured program. Students enrolled in this doctorate program will conduct research that is related to their Doctoral Project. Individuals can expect a challenging learning experience through this program in the subjects of management science and quality systems. Graduates will have gained the ability to successfully develop and implement their Doctoral Project.

The DBA in Quality Systems Management Degree Program consists of 60 total credit hours that may be completed in two years. Students will be required to complete 20 courses and identify their Doctoral project during phase one of this program. During phase two, students will have a project validation period and gain verification under the Faculty Doctoral Team. Student’s progress will be tracked by the NGS Dissertation Committee in order to ensure that satisfactory progress is being made. Individuals enrolled in this program must also teach a National Graduate School of Quality Management course, submit an article to a refereed journal, and complete a dissertation. This program is in structured in a cohort group format which may be completed online and on-campus.

While courses required for this program are available online, much work during this program must be completed on campus as well. This part-online learning environment provides flexibility for enrolled students who are employed or have other obligations. Students must be highly disciplined to complete a large amount of coursework. Time management and word processing skills are very important for students who enroll in this degree program.
