National Graduate School of Quality Management offers a Black Belt Lean Six Sigma Certificate which is well suited for students who wish to be recognized for acquiring specialized knowledge that is commonly used in the workforce. Students in this program will gain knowledge and skills in statistics, analysis, leadership, project management, data collection, and project-related financial analysis. Individuals who complete this certificate program are understood to have a specific skill set that will remain valuable in the present and future workplace.
The Black Belt Lean Six Sigma Certificate Program consists of 12 total credit hours that may be completed in 4 months. Students who are enrolled in this program must complete a Work-Related Project and will be monitored through the project process by faculty. This program is structured in a cohort group format that may be completed partly. This cohort group format requires students to frequently work in teams outside of the classroom setting in order to complete program material and the Work-Related Project.
Parts of this program may be completed online; however, students are required to meet on-campus or off-campus in a group setting. This part-online learning environment provides flexibility for enrolled professionals who are employed or have other obligations. Students must be highly disciplined to complete a large amount of work which contributes to their manuscript. Time management and word processing skills are very important for students who enroll in this certificate program. In order to be accepted into this program, applicants must have a minimum of 5 years of work experience or military service.
