Associate of Applied Science in Early Childhood
Nash Community College

Program Details

The online Associate of Applied Science in Early Childhood degree program is designed for students who want to enter the workforce after earning this degree rather than transferring to a four-year institution to earn a bachelor’s degree in the field. The curriculum prepares students to work with children from birth through age eight in diverse learning environments. Unlike certification programs, the Associate of Applied Science degree requires courses in general education as well as courses in early childhood development.

Courses include topics in:

  • Child, family, and community
  • Child development
  • Child guidance
  • Children with exceptionalities
