Mt Hood Community College is a two-year, public institution of higher education, located in the city of Gresham, Oregon. The institution was opened in 1966 and is named after Mount Hood, the highest mountain in Oregon. The first associate degree was awarded in 1968. Mt. Hood offers students three campus locations in Oregon: the main campus (Gresham Campus), Maywood Park Campus in Portland, and the Bruning Center for Allied Health Education in Gresham. Classes are also offered at some public schools within the district.
Mt Hood Community College offers certificates and associate’s degrees in professional and technical programs. Mt Hood offers online courses, which allow busy students with additional responsibilities to complete coursework on their own schedule. Associate's degrees for transfer to a four-year institution are available completely online.
