Program Details

The online Graduate Certificate in Dyslexia program provides teachers with the deep knowledge and practices needed to teach reading to dyslexic students, other struggling readers, and/or the general student population.  The curriculum offers an in-depth knowledge base related to the field of reading and language development, assessment, instruction, and individual differences.  This certificate is for those who hold bachelor’s degrees in Education or related fields and only requires an additional 13 credit hours to obtain the master’s degree in Reading Science.

Requirements

  • Earned baccalaureate degree in a suitable field from a regionally accredited college or university
  • Official transcripts from all previous colleges and universities
  • Undergraduate cumulative GPA of 3.0 and above or an acceptable score on the GRE
  • Copy of a valid teaching certification/licensure, if applicable
  • Letter of intent / statement of goals
  • Resume
