Master of Arts in Teaching
The Morningside College Graduate Program in Education offers a Master of Arts in Teaching (M.A.T.) with special education, reading specialist (Iowa Educators only), and professional educator tracks. The program also offers several endorsement options at the graduate level for Iowa teachers.
Through its mission - "Excellence in Teaching" - the program supports professionals as they continue to develop the knowledge, skills and dispositions that are characteristic of an effective educator and prepares them to be leaders and role models for others in their workplace.

Requires from 36-37 credits for completion, depending on the MAT track.
Must have a bachelor’s degree with a minimum GPA of 3.00 (4.00 scale). An initial teacher licensure. Official transcripts of all undergraduate and graduate coursework.
Only Iowa residents are eligible for the Reading Specialist track.
