Monterey Peninsula College is a two-year, public institution of higher education, with campuses located in the cities of Monterey and Marina, California. MPC was founded in 1947 and is one of 110 colleges in the California Community College System.
Monterey Peninsula College awards more than 70 programs of study to prepare students for transfer to four-year institutions or into the workplace. About 13 percent of students are enrolled in distance education, and many associate's degrees and certificates can be earned completely online.
