Program Details

The online Master of Science in Special Education in Advanced Studies offers flexible online courses and provides the foundation for students to advance in careers.  The program is designed for students with undergraduate degrees in special education, special education endorsements on their teaching licenses, or who wish to pursue advanced studies in special education but do not wish to teach P-12 special education.  Students are prepared to teach in a categorical or cross-categorical area of special education, advance toward administrative positions, pursue positions in related fields, do research in special education, or pursue doctoral degrees.

Requirements

  • Listed as mostly online, may have some on-campus requirements
  • Submit GRE or eligible admission test scores
  • Must hold Bachelor's degree
  • Official transcripts reflecting all baccalaureate and post-baccalaureate work
  • A letter of intent or essay, if required by the program
  • Three letters of recommendation, if required by the program
  • A vita or resume
