Program Details

The online Associate of Applied Science in Accounting Technology prepares students to handle entry-level accounting functions, including teaching students how to prepare summary statements of business conditions for small businesses and government agencies and how to utilize basic business and accounting software.  Courses also teach financial statement preparation and how to process daily accounting transactions, journals, and ledgers.  Graduates can be awarded a certificate upon completion of the required courses and earned credits may be applied toward the Accounting Technology Associate of Applied Science degree.  Jobs can be found as account clerks, bookkeepers, accounting technicians, and accounting associates.
