Program Details

The online Associate of Arts in Liberal Arts and Sciences with a concentration in Early Childhood Education program is designed to support and encourage progress toward bachelor’s degrees that will allow students to pursue teaching careers in grade levels Birth through Second Grade. The curriculum helps students identify and articulate professional expectations and responsibilities for a basic understanding of teaching as a career in early childhood education. Students learn to analyze trends that have influenced teaching and to analyze the critical issues in General Education and Special Education for application in classroom environments. Graduates are able to apply subject matter knowledge of the teaching profession when working with diverse student populations.
