Bookkeeping Certificate

Program Details

The online Bookkeeping Certificate program from Mohave Community College provides students with the skills to work with general ledgers, receivables, payables, payrolls, and accounting systems, preparing them for entry-level employment as bookkeepers. Courses cover topics such as:

  • Using QuickBooks
  • Accounting Systems & Procedures
  • Microsoft Excel
  • Income Tax Accounting

​After completing this certificate and the requisite work experience, students are encouraged to complete the national exam for a Certified Bookkeeper designation. This certification is sponsored by the American Institute of Professional Bookkeepers (AIPB).

Requirements

  • Students seeking in-state or Western Undergraduate Exchange (WUE) tuition rates or any Arizona state-based financial aid must be prepared to submit proof of Citizenship and Arizona Residency
  • Placement test (may be waived based on ACT/SAT scores, high school GPA, or college transcript)
