Missouri University of Science and Technology, Missouri S&T for short has been at the top of research and innovation for a long time. Founded in 1870 as one of the first technological institutions west of the Mississippi, it has built on a heritage of discovery, creativity, and innovation to equip and inspire today’s students to meet tomorrow’s great global challenges.

Missouri S&T houses two colleges: the College of Engineering and Computing and the College of Arts, Sciences, and Business, and awards degrees from the bachelor's level to the research doctorate level. Missouri S&T offers graduate degree programs (including a limited number of PhDs/DEs) and graduate certificate programs through distance education. These programs are designed to help students advance in careers without interrupting professional and personal life.

Students must provide a copy of their ECCC-RC Stage IV (General Engineering) Completion Certificate in addition to a transcript showing proof of having completed a Bachelors degree. Officers who do not have a background in engineering may be required to take part or all of a 5-credit hour bridging sequence, also provided by the Geological Engineering Department at the same tuition rate.
