Program Details

The online Master of Science in Education with a specialization in Elementary Education allows students to solidify their careers in education.  Students can choose electives in order to create a program that fits their specific needs, including early childhood, reading, technology, ESL, middle school, math, science, social science, special education, or individualized.  Graduates either remain as teachers in the classroom or use the degree as a path to becoming curriculum writers and leaders or education leaders in a business setting.


  • Minimum GPA of 3.00 for courses taken in the last 60 hours of course work in the undergraduate program (students who do not meet the GPA requirement must take the Graduate Record Examination (GRE))
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Letter of intent
  • Copy of an appropriate teaching certificate or eligibility for teacher certification by a state agency
  • Three letters of recommendation
