The online Bachelor of Science in Communication in Health Communication develops an understanding of, and skills in, effective and ethical communication while also focusing on communication theory and research in the health care context, specifically to improve communication skills in the health care delivery process. The primary areas of study include aging and ethics, communication in health care settings, nonverbal communication and listening, interpersonal relationships and communication, intercultural communication and health, and public relations. Graduates are prepared for careers in areas including care coordinating, community relations, health care management, health promotions, lobbying, and marketing.
