Program Details

The online Health Protection Certificate program provides the knowledge, skills, and credentials necessary to work as environmental health professionals or to continue to graduate studies within this field.  The curriculum teaches students about preventing physical, chemical, and biological hazards from adversely impacting human health or the ecological balances of the environment and about maintaining acceptable levels of risk while focusing on health protection within the field.  Additionally, students who choose the Health Protection option must complete eleven credits in this area.  Examples of these Health Protection courses are:

  • Environmental Health & Safety
  • Epidemiological Statistics
  • Disease Vector Control
  • Occupational Health & Safety
  • Food Safety
