Master of Education in Teaching Arts

Program Details

The online Master of Education in Teaching Arts program is designed for those who want to learn more skills for instructing in the specialized field of arts.  The program develops leadership skills for all education levels.  Candidates can choose from two concentration:  Elementary (4-8) or Secondary (7-12/K-12).


This degree program requires 30-33 credits for completion.

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Satisfactory scores on the PRAXIS I Core CASE (Core Academic Skills for Educators) Reading-5712 (passing score 156); Writing-5722 (passing score 162); Math-5732 (passing score 150)
  • PRAXIS II (Content Area Exam)
  • A minimum of 2.75 GPA
  • Foundations of Reading Test (for initial elementary licensure)
