Program Details

The online Master of Science in Special Education program prepares reflective decision makers who will provide exemplary educational services to people with disabilities and are equipped to be leaders in the field.  The curriculum prepares educators who will promote student independence, celebrate diversity, and foster inclusion in a global community while also preparing them to use validated curriculum, materials, and practices.  Students will choose from these emphasis areas:

  • Deaf or Hard of Hearing
  • Specific Learning Disabilities
  • Early Childhood Special Education
  • Special Education Strategist

Requirements

  • An overall GPA of 2.75 or 3.0 in the last 60 hours of coursework
  • A completed bachelor’s degree in special education, education, or a related field
  • Depending on the student's background, some pre-requisites may apply
