Program Details

The online Health Unit Coordinator Certificate prepares students to work closely with health professionals providing communication support to nursing service and ancillary departments in the collection and dissemination of patient data.  Graduates find employment in nursing units of hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, insurance companies, clinics, or health maintenance organizations.  Courses include Integrated Office Skills, Anatomy & Physiology Disease Conditions, Medical Terminology, Medical Machine Transcription, and Health Unit Coordinator.

  • ACCUPLACER placement test may be required
