Program Overview

Milwaukee Area Technical College offers a 16-week technical diploma program designed to give students a foundation education in managing marketing teams and programs. The Marketing Management Diploma is offered in a completely online format. Students will spend four months completing courses from the comfort of their own personal computers; this is an ideal way for students who lack mobility or require a non-traditional academic schedule to participate.

The goal of this program is to provide students the mental tools needed to successfully perform in business marketing positions. Students will receive training in how to complete research to determine the best course of action for an organization. Classes on how to market products or services to the correct consumer based will prepare students to further their own ideas on how to reach a company’s desired outcome. Students will learn tested sales strategies they can, in turn, teach members of a sales or marketing team. Finally, this program examines modern marketing technologies, such as social media and internet-based advertising methods.

The curriculum consists of 42 credit hours. Examples of classes include Social Media Technology, Integrated Marketing Communications, and Negotiation Skills for Business. This program can be useful for students who have no marketing experience or those who are currently working within a marketing position and wish to increase their skill set. The credits earned have the potential to be transferred into an Associate of Science in Market Management, which is also offered by Milwaukee Area Technical College.
