Milwaukee Area Technical College offers an online degree designed to give students a broad education in managing a wide variety of marketing projects and teams. The Associate of Science in Marketing Management is a two year program that is administered completely online through student’s personal computers. Milwaukee Area Technical College’s eLearning system allows students to complete assignments at their own pace and schedule; this makes this degree perfect for students who may already be working within a business and wish to acquire additional skills to move up in the corporate ladder.

This program will teach students how consumer trends function and how to predict market needs through statistics and research. In addition, students will learn how to efficiently promote and raise awareness of products and services; this includes utilizing modern technologies like social media to actively engage with a consumer demographic.  Individuals who are interested in moving into sales may wish to consider this degree as well, as several classes focusing on advanced selling techniques are included.

The curriculum consists of 68 credit hours total of classes. As mentioned above, this program will typically be completed in two years, each year consisting of two semesters. This program may be beneficial to students who are seeking employment immediately after graduation. The skills learned will typically fit well in positions such as advertising management, business-to-consumer marketing, or event marketing. This degree can also be transferred into a wide range of four-year bachelor degree programs at many accredited colleges or universities.

    School Overview

    Milwaukee Area Technical College is a public, two-year institution of higher education, located in the city of Milwaukee, Wisconsin. MATC was founded in 1912 as the Continuation School after Charles McCarthy asked State Legislature to pass a law creating a statewide network of continuation schools. Today, MATC offers classes at campuses in downtown Milwaukee, Oak Creek, West Allis, and Mequon. The Mequon Campus features the largest wind turbine on a college campus in the state.

    Milwaukee Area Technical College offers degree, diploma, certificate and apprentice programs. Many students who attend MATC plan to earn a bachelor’s degree by transferring to a four-year college. Accelerated programs are offered for full-time working adults, as well as online programs for degrees, diplomas, and certificates from all of MATC's schools.
