Prepare for a career working with a special population of students, those with disabilities. You will gain the knowledge and skills needed to lead your school and community in providing services to these students. A variety of advanced areas of special education are covered:

  • Degree Only
  • Degree with Educational Diagnostician Pathway
  • Degree with Dyslexia Emphasis Only
  • Degree with Dyslexia Emphasis and Educational Diagnostician Pathway for those certified to teach special education
  • Degree with Dyslexia Emphasis and Educational Diagnostician Pathway for those without special education certification

The Educational Diagnostician pathway prepares students for professional certification as an Educational Diagnostician. The Dyslexia Emphasis is designed for those interested in working with children or adults with dyslexia or related disorders. This online special education degree can lead to the title of Licensed Dyslexia Therapist (LDT).
