Program Details

The increased complexity in the cultures of companies and organizations has created an ever increasing need for people to fill management positions and provide strategic leadership. To survive, companies must be able to effectively and efficiently work and develop in the international marketplace. The Professional Studies - Organizational Leadership program helps students prepare for management positions in businesses and organizations. It’s among University College programs targeting distance learning and nontraditional students. The major consists of foundation courses in communications, statistics, supervision, organizational systems, organizational relations, and international context. The International Organizational Leadership concentration teaches about public relations, psychology, business etiquette, human resources, and cultural diversity. Students who earn this degree are trained to hold professional positions such as: Chief executive officer; Chief financial officer; Chief information officer; Compliance director; Corporate recruiter; Director of quality systems; Director of strategic planning; Education administrator; Global trade expert; Health services manager; International team manager; Knowledge manager; Management analyst; Operations manager; Organization development consultant; Strategic planner of innovation; Strategy consultant; and Vice president/human resources or marketing. Up to 60 hours of college credit may also be granted for college level learning obtained through work, seminars, training programs, military education programs, and certification programs.
