Mid Michigan Community College is currently offering an alluring option to students who have an interest in math and science but are unsure of what academic focus they wish to pursue. The Math and Science Transfer Associate's Degree program will allow students to explore a wide range of study options. This program will cover the first two year of general education classes required by most four year college and universities. Students will be able to discover what fields interest them while preparing for a bachelor’s degree at the same time. This degree can also be a great choice for individuals who are looking to generally enrich their life through education. The classes offered will teach a wide range of educational life skills that will not only help students grow but teach the basic skills desired by employers. Students can expect to develop their critical thinking and logical problem solving skills through the science and math studies offered in this degree program.
A total of 62 credit hours are required to complete this degree program. Most students will be able to complete all the necessary requirements within two years. The majority of credit hours will be fulfilled by electives chosen by the student. This flexible design gives students the option to delve into several areas of study. Mid Michigan Community College’s diverse catalog of available electives will allow the exploration of multiple career and academic options. This degree is presented in a hybrid format. While up to 80 percent of the classes will be taken through an online learning system, the remainder will be held on MMCC’s campus located in Harrison, MI.

Mid Michigan Community College is a two-year public school with three campuses located in Michigan since 1965. MMCC offers certificates and associate’s degrees in more than 50 academic programs. Transfer programs are designed for students planning to pursue baccalaureate degrees at four-year institutions. Career programs provide students with the necessary skills and related knowledge to qualify for future positions in different industries. Courses are offered in several formats, including face-to-face traditional classroom courses, courses offered completely online, and hybrid courses (a combination of both).
