Program Overview

Mid-America Christian University is currently offering an online Bachelor's of Science in Management and Ethics. This degree program seeks to give students the business training and theology knowledge to ethically lead within a business setting. This degree is ideal for working adults and can be an aid to securing a management promotion within a professional career. Students will learn how to handle complex management issues and how to manage large groups of employees. Integrating theory with real-world problems, the B.S. in Management and Ethics will give students a practical and intensive education in project planning, human resource management, business accounting and employee inspiration.

This program consists of 49 total credit hours. Students will take a combination of technology, theology, business and finance classes to achieve a well-rounded base of knowledge in business. Examples of classes include: Principles of Accounting, Microeconomics, Principles of Management, Business Finance, Statistics, Business Law, Church & Nonprofit Finances, and Biblical Life & Witness.  Classes are administered completely online by experienced Christian business instructors. Students will be able to choose when they complete assignments, allowing individuals to easily balance academic and professional life.  

Only the core major requirements for a bachelor’s in business are included in this program. Students must possess a minimum of 49 credit hours of general education classes before admission. Mid-America Christian University offers several online associate's degree that can fulfill these requirements. This program is designed for working adults; therefore, individuals must be at least 22 years of age to be admitted.

    School Overview

    The university first opened in 1953 as the South Texas Bible Institute in Houston, Texas. By 1955, the school offered a four-year degree and changed its name to the Gulf Coast Bible College. Today Mid-America Christian University is a four-year, private not-for-profit liberal arts institution. Associated with the Church of God, Mid-America Christian’s mission statement “prepares students through a Wesleyan perspective to create, collaborate, and innovate to solve local and global problems for the glory of God through Jesus Christ and the good of society.”

    MACU offers Bible-based liberal programs and ministry education, extending more than 25 fields of study for graduates and undergraduates. The school offers certificates, associate’s degrees, bachelor’s degrees, and master’s degrees. Students have the option to complete degrees delivered online, offered through once-weekly accelerated formats, or hybrid sessions. Online coursework is available for first-time students, returning students and graduate programs.
