Business Administration: Sport Management
The Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration: Sports Management is ideal for individuals wishing to pursue career opportunities in sport facility management, sport event management, high school and college athletics, as well as professional and amateur sports leagues and organizations. The Sports Management program strives to achieve academic excellence and career development by providing the necessary knowledge and skills in sports management. The degree program offers a required internship that connects what is learned in the classroom to real-life experience. Many graduates find employment opportunities with companies they interned for while at Mercy College.
All courses are offered completely online. The online educational experience at Mercy College is highly interactive and encourages direct communication between students and faculty. Online orientations are offered to help students who have never taken online courses to transition into the online program. Additionally, courses are offered at several Mercy College satellite locations in New York. Such locations are as follows: Bronx, Manhattan, Yorktown, and Dobbs Ferry (the main campus).
Core business courses offered include, Introduction to Financial Accounting, Introduction to Management Accounting, Financial Management, International Business, Business Law I, Principles of Management, Information Systems for Management, Organizational Behavior, and Principles of Marketing. Courses offered for the Sports Management specialization include, Foundations of Sport Management, Sport Marketing, Sport Law, Sport Facility and Even Management, Sport Finance and Administration, and Strategic Management.
Additionally, students may transfer up to 75 credit hours from any two-year institution and a maximum of 90 credit hours from any four year institution. All credit hours can be applied to general education course requirements and up to two courses may be applied to the core business course requirements by Mercy College.

Mercy College is a four-year private school located in Dobbs Fairy, New York. Mercy College was established in 1950 by the Sister of Mercy. The school only admitted women until 1967, when the institution began to accept men.
Mercy College offers certificates of completion associate’s degrees, bachelor’s degrees, master’s degrees, and doctorate degrees in over 90 programs. Classes are offered during the daytime, evening, and weekend. Online courses offer flexible class schedules for students who may have extra responsibilities. Mercy College students have the opportunity to take one or all of their courses online through the more than 40 undergraduate and graduate programs offered. Undergraduate academic programs include:
