Business Administration: Finance
The Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration: Finance at Mercy College is ideal for those who wish to pursue a career in finance. Mercy College offers specializations in Finance/Accounting and Finance/Economics. The Finance/Accounting specialization focuses on finance in business organizations, health care, government and non-profit organizations. The Finance/Economics specialization focuses on preparing students for a career in the financial services industry.
Mercy College offers a unique and flexible class schedule ideal for those who work full time but wish to further their education. Mercy College offers "B & C Terms" which are 2 eight-week terms that take place during each semester. Classes are held twice a week from Monday-Wednesday and Tuesday-Thursday. All classes are taught in the evening between the hours of 5:50-8:20pm and 8:30-11pm (this is to accommodate those working full-time hours).
Business core courses offered include, Introduction to Financial Accounting, Introduction to Management Accounting, Financial Management, International Business, Business Law, Principles of Management, Information Systems for Management, Organizational Behavior, and Principles of Marketing. Additionally, students have the option to choose between two concentration tracks. The Finance/Accounting track includes courses in Intermediate Accounting, Money and Banking, Investment Management and International Finance. The Finance/Economics track includes courses in Financial Statement Analysis, Problems in Financial Management and Strategic Management. Students will take 60 credit hours of general education courses, 45 credit hours of business core courses and 15 credit hours of elective courses in order to complete degree requirements.
Courses are offered at the following Mercy College satellite locations: Dobbs Ferry, Bronx, Manhattan, and Yorktown, New York. The online program is Middle States accredited.

Mercy College is a four-year private school located in Dobbs Fairy, New York. Mercy College was established in 1950 by the Sister of Mercy. The school only admitted women until 1967, when the institution began to accept men.
Mercy College offers certificates of completion associate’s degrees, bachelor’s degrees, master’s degrees, and doctorate degrees in over 90 programs. Classes are offered during the daytime, evening, and weekend. Online courses offer flexible class schedules for students who may have extra responsibilities.
