Medaille College is a private, nonsectarian four-year college with campuses in Buffalo, Rochester, and online. Medaille focuses on student success as a future professional by offering undergraduate and graduate degree programs in hands-on, practitioner-based learning environments on campus and in the Western New York community. The College traces its roots to 1875 when the Sisters of Saint Joseph founded an institute for the preparation of teachers. In 1937, the Sisters received a charter from New York State to grant baccalaureate degrees in education to women in religious orders. In 1968, they initiated a change in the charter that would create a co-educational college.
Medaille offers traditional undergraduate and graduate programs, in addition to associate's degrees and certificates through their online and flexible-format programs. The College's online academic programs are designed with working professionals in mind in terms of applicability and scheduling.
