Program Details

The online Master of Science in Dental Hygiene in an Associate’s degree to Master of Science Bridge Program is an alternative passageway to transfer dental hygienists from the associate’s degree to the master’s degree program without needing to reapply to the graduate phase or earn a bachelor’s degree in the progress.  This program satisfies the demand for educators, administrators, researchers, and advanced practitioners as graduates can advance in clinical practices at many different levels.  Students must choose either a concentration in Dental Hygiene Education or in Public Health.

Requirements

  • Requires attendance at an in-person orientation on the Boston campus
  • Graduated from a dental hygiene program accredited by the ADA Commission on Dental Accreditation
  • Earned a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5 (on a 4.0 scale) in dental hygiene program courses
  • Completed one year of work experience in healthcare
  • Successfully completed the National Board Dental Hygiene Examination
  • A license to practice dental hygiene or eligibility for licensure in at least one jurisdiction in the U.S. or Canada
  • TOEFL scores for whom English is not the native language
