Program Details

The online Advanced Certificate in Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) teaches students to work closely with patients, and advances their careers by extending students’ expertise with MRIs.  Courses build on and increase students’ skills and knowledge in anatomy, physiology, and MRI principles to produce distinct images clearly.  Courses include Physical Principles of MRI, MRI Safety and Applications, MRI Procedures, and MRI Image Production and Quality.

Requirements

  • Completion requires from 18-26 credits*
  • An associate’s or bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited college or university
  • Current ARRT, NMTCB or ARDMS certification
  • Current CPR certification

*The option to enroll in an MRI clinical rotation at an MCPHS University affiliated hospital will be offered to students in the New England region. Students outside of New England, or those in New England who do not wish to be placed by MCPHS University, are responsible for finding their own clinical site placement to complete the required ARRT Clinical Experience Requirements. Students who are placed by MCPHS University and/or assisted by MCPHS University in securing clinical placements will pay tuition equal to 8 credits.
