The online BS in Psychology degree program is designed to provide students with a thorough understanding of the theories and practices associated with the field of psychology. Students may also take an online minor in criminal justice, sociology, or family and child studies. Graduates may pursue higher education or careers in:
- Business – personnel administrator, loan officer, retail sales management, occupational analyst, industrial relations specialist, claims specialist, or marketing representative
- Social Services – group home attendant, case worker, probation officer, admissions counselor, occupational therapist, substance abuse counselor, youth counselor, employment counselor, social service aide, public health administrator, parole officer, social-urban planner, community relations officer, affirmative action officer, vocational rehabilitation, or day care center supervisor
A total of 120 credits are required. State-approved high school diploma or GED equivalent.
Demonstrate college readiness in math and English: ACT English 18, SAT critical reading 450 (Old- prior to 2016) or 25 (New- 2016 and later) or Compass writing 70, ACCUPLACER Sentence Skills 86; ACT math 19, SAT math 460 (Old- prior to 2016) or 500 (New- 2016 and later) or Compass algebra 40, ACCUPLACER Elementry Algebra 65.
