Program Overview

McHenry College's Business Management program teaches students a mixture of management-specific and general business skills to prepare them for a variety of career paths.  Business Managers are always in high demand, as they are key to the success or failure of companies.  Managers often control a multitude of areas within businesses, such as personnel, equipment, finances, materials, advertising, sales, and marketing.  Opportunities in the field are available in a wide range of arenas: health, banking, trade, manufacturing, telecommunications, government, retail, service, non-profit, e-business, and social marketing.  Due to more managers working in the international arena,  McHenry's International Business Studies Certificate is ideal for individuals looking to work in that capacity.

The International Business Studies Certificate consists of 12 credit hours earned through four courses.  Three of those courses are core courses, with one additional elective of the student's choosing.  Core courses include International Marketing, Intro to International Business, and Principles of Exporting and Importing.  Upon completion of the program, students are required to have a minimum 2.0 cumulative GPA at MCC in order to receive the certificate.
