Massasoit Community College offers an Office Technologies Certificate that is approved by the Board of Higher Education. The Office Technologies program was created for students interested in modern electronic office careers. The program curriculum has a mix of practical business information skills, computer skills and soft skills that help prepare students for their future careers.
The Office Technologies program provides students with a wide mixture of educational theories and practices that help them in real life situations. Students will receive practical experience with a variety of microcomputer software packages. These include word processing, spreadsheet and many others. Throughout the courses students will acquire business and professional skills that will help them become successful in today’s business world.
Most technology programs set up the curriculum but splitting them up by type. Students will take multiple levels of programs such as windows, word, excel and business classes. This way, students will have knowledge about multiple computer software’s used in today’s society. By introducing students to many programs, individuals will have the skills required for multiple career fields they may be interested in.
To complete the Office Technologies Certificate, students must take a minimum of 33 semester hours and 20 courses to graduate. Students should be aware that the same course is not be able to be used for two different course requirements. Students will need about 9 months to complete the program.
The goal of the Office Technologies program is to provide students the education they need to excel in the technology business world. With hands on experience and the variety of programs, students will gain a basic understanding of the material needed in today’s offices.

Students must complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid form. Students must also complete the correct class levels and forms for transfer credit.
Massasoit Community College is a two-year public school located in Brockton, Massachusetts. The school was founded in 1966 and was named for the Massasoit, the Great Sachem of the Wampanoag. MCC has three campuses, which are located in Brockton, Canton, and Middleboro.
Massasoit Community College offers certificates of completion and associate’s degrees. Classes are offered during the daytime, evening, and weekend. Online courses are offered to provide flexibility and convenience to students who may not be able to come to the MCC campus. Courses are instructor-led and follow the same semester schedule as face-to-face courses.
