Program Overview

Massasoit Community College offers a Science Option for the Liberal Arts Transfer Program. The Liberal Arts Program is designed for students who wish to transfer into a four-year Liberal Arts Baccalaureate Degree Program, after they complete their Associate's degree at Massasoit Community College.

The Liberal Arts Program is designed to provide students with a foundation in the humanities, the natural sciences, mathematics, and social sciences. With a variety of electives students will be able to choose which courses to take that will help them when they transfer. With these options, The Liberal Arts Transfer Program has created a Science option for those interested in further science education.

The science option helps students design their own program to help them transfer into four-year institutions offering majors in the sciences, engineering, pre-med, and other advanced medical fields. To help students with the transition from Massasoit Community College to a four-year institution, they will receive constant help from a member of the science department. With this counseling, students will be sure to have a smooth transition into their next institution.

To complete the Liberal Arts Transfer Program, students must take a minimum of the 62 required credits. This includes a minimum of 14 credits in mathematics and science, 12 credits in social science, and 15 credits in the humanities. With the science option, students will be allowed to take more class electives in the mathematics and science areas.
