MUIH offers the online MA in Health & Wellness Coaching. Students are prepared to fill the growing demand for coaches with advanced knowledge and skills to help people take charge of their own health and create sustainable change. You will also enhance the scope of your skills by gaining expertise in integrative health and by working from a wellness perspective. 

Areas of concentration in the following:

• Nutrition - offers a unique approach to the study of nutrition that will complement a student’s coaching skills, emphasizing the vital and interrelated physiological, medicinal, psychosocial, cultural, and spiritual roles of food in our lives. 
• Herbal Studies - designed for individuals with a keen interest in herbs, wellness, and self-care. 
• Integrative Health Practices -  offers students an opportunity to learn about the wide range of integrative approaches that are taught at MUIH. 

The online Master of Arts in Integrative Health Studies teaches students how complementary health practices can be integrated with conventional healthcare. Students can choose from elective courses in five categories including nutrition, health promotion, herbal medicine, mind-body practices, and whole medical systems. This 30-credit program can be completed in one and a half years.

• Integrative care models
• Becoming a healing presence
• Survey of complementary health approaches

Career opportunities for graduates include jobs in acupuncture, nutrition, health and wellness coaching, health promotion, yoga therapy, herbal medicine, and more. The online Master of Science in Clinical Herbal Medicine prepares students to apply the principles and practices of herbal medicine to clinical strategies and real-world solutions. Emphasis is placed on critical thinking skills, medicinal knowledge, and health information literacy. This 36-credit online program can be completed in two years.

They will be prepared to assess clients and create individualized plans and health-related goals. The online master’s degree program in clinical herbal medicine provides graduates with the ability to advance in their careers in herbal medicine.

MUIH offers the online MS in Health Promotion. This program offers individuals an understanding of the theoretical and practical applications of health promotion. You learn about the interaction among the psychological, social, and environmental factors affecting health, and design programs to address health from a holistic perspective in both community and workplace settings.

Students will select one of the following areas of concentration:

• Community Health Education - Health educators work with groups, organizations, and communities to assess their health challenges and needs and then create and evaluate programs and interventions.
• Workplace Wellness - A workplace wellness program is an employment-based activity or employer-sponsored benefit designed to promote health-related behaviors and disease management.

• Community Nutrition Education - This concentration is ideal for students who want to develop innovative nutrition education programs for underserved communities or other groups who could benefit from grocery store tours, farm to school programs, or nutrition seminars. 
• Herbal Medicine - This concentration is ideal for students interested in pursuing the natural and complementary combination of nutrition and herbs.
• Human Clinical Nutrition - This concentration is ideal for students who primarily plan to see clients in a private nutrition practice or join a medical or integrative health setting. 

MUIH offers the online Post Master’s Certificate in Nutrition & Integrative Health. This program provides evidence-based nutrition training specifically for health professionals and those with advanced science training, including: physicians, physician assistants, registered nurses, nurse practitioners, acupuncturists, herbalists, physical therapists, occupational therapists, dentists, pharmacists, osteopaths, and chiropractors. The online Post-Baccalaureate Certificate in Ayurvedic Wellness Practices is for students who wish to help themselves and others live healthier lives through the “science of life”.
